KFC donates to five Black-owned and women-owned non-profits

As part of KFC’s observance of Black History Month, five non-profit organizations will each receive a $1,000 donation from KFC Global to further their community work in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.  This investment is representative of our commitment to support the communities in which our restaurants operate, ensuring they foster equitable and inclusive spaces for all people to thrive. 

The following Black and female owned non-profit organizations will receive donations from KFC, totaling $5,000 in funds:

• Crowned Scholars, to continue empowering Black and underrepresented students to achieve academic and professional success.
• First Step Community Empowerment, to continue offering a range of social services and programs that support low-income families and individuals.
• Too Fly Foundation, to continue providing passport and travel grants to individual students and student organizations nationwide.
• Interfaith Family Services, to continue supporting families experiencing homelessness, and providing housing, among other essential services. 
• For Oak Cliff, to continue promoting economic development and civic engagement in South Oak Cliff.

These donations are a powerful statement about supporting marginalized communities and a reminder that we all have a role to play in creating a more inclusive world, and that supporting marginalized communities is a critical part of that effort.
