April 21, 2020, London,United Kingdom–With most of the nation still unable to get their hands on their favorite fried chicken, we’ve seen more and more people roll up their sleeves, dust off their aprons and attempt to recreate the Colonel's finest in their own kitchens. Let’s be honest, it’s easier said than done.
But now it's time to give our favorite celebs a go. Introducing KFC Clash… the all-new culinary competition that will see some of the nation’s favorite personalities go head to head to be crowned ultimate chicken champions.
Starting tonight and streaming live on KFC’s UKI Instagram every Tuesday night for the next four weeks, each contender will battle for your vote by recreating an iconic KFC dish.
Hyped to be just as competitive as any UFC (Ultimate Fried Chicken) fight - minus the fowl play - Chris and Kem are first and ready for the ultimate heavyweight throwdown, with more big names hot on their tailfeathers the following week.
For each battle, KFC will be donating to Comic Relief. Through their existing partnership, which began in 2019, KFC donates 5p of every bucket sold to Comic Relief, with additional money being raised through team member fundraising. Together with Comic Relief, KFC is aiming to raise £3million by 2022 in a bid to help organisations in local communities in the UK provide mentoring, employment and social skills for young people.
The Colonel has a few other surprises up his wing, which will be revealed very soon. So keep an eye out and make sure you tune in to @KFC_UKI’s Instagram at 6:30pm every Tuesday for the next four weeks to witness the fried chicken feuds unfold.

About KFC:
In 1952 Colonel Harland Sanders opened the first KFC restaurant in Utah. Since then, his perfectly crafted Original Recipe chicken and its secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices has become famous all over the world, and today we have over 900 restaurants across the UK and Ireland.
The Colonel was all about doing things the right way. That means our chicken is delivered fresh from farm to restaurant in 48 hours. It’s prepared carefully by hand in-restaurant by trained cooks, using the very best chicken reared to strict welfare standards. In July 2019 we took the next big step in our welfare journey and signed up to the Better Chicken Commitment, a set of six criteria that have been designed to improve the lives of all chickens within the KFC supply chain, by 2026. That’s what makes our food so finger lickin’ good.
The right way also means serving fresh proper food, packed with flavor. So, we’ve worked hard to make nutritional improvements across our menu, so our fans have as much choice as possible, and we’ve committed to removing 20% of calories per serving by 2025.
The Colonel also believed in feeding promise, wherever it’s found. So that’s why we invest heavily in the development and careers of our 27,000 employees – we were the first restaurant to launch an honors degree. And since its 2015 launch, our KFC Foundation has paid out grants totaling £5 million to our charity partners who are passionate about developing and nurturing young people across the country.
